Pedestrian seriously injured in lorry crash as road remains closed

A pedestrian was left seriously injured following a collision with a lorry on a main road in Rugby[1]. The man, who has not been identified, remains being treated in hospital for the injuries he suffered earlier this morning (October 16). It follows a collision with a lorry on Ashlawn Road in Rugby at just before 9.20am.

The stretch of road, between the A426 Rugby Road and Spectrum Avenue, remains closed in both directions at time of publication. This is because police investigations are underway at the scene. At the time of publication it was not known when it was due to re-open.
