Man dies after A14 crash involving car and lorry

A man in his 60s has died following a crash involving a car and a lorry on the A14[1] in Cambridgeshire[2]. The incident was reported to have taken place on Sunday (October 13). Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.15pm.

They had received reports that a silver Skoda Fabia had crashed into a Volvo HGV articulated lorry parked in a lay-by near Swaffham Bulbeck, between junctions 37 and 36. The driver of the Skoda, who is from Cambridge[3], was confirmed to have died at the scene. The driver of the HGV suffered minor injuries.

They are also looking for anyone who saw the vehicles in the moments leading up to the incident. Anyone with information or dashcam footage is being advised to get in touch with police, using the reference Op Carter. This can be done through the force website or by calling 101.
