M5 traffic held as car crashes ‘into central reservation’

Traffic on the M5 was held[1] following a crash this morning, Friday, October 25. Traffic between junction 22 and 21 was stationary after a vehicle was reported to have crashed into the central reservation. Roads and traffic monitoring site[2] Inrix first reported the crash at 8.25am.

It said: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M5 northbound from J22 (Burnham-on-sea) to J21 A370 (Weston-super-mare).” Several witnesses have said it appears a car has crashed into the central reservation. One person said: “Accident and road closure northbound Sedgmoor services.

Car in central reservation”. Another person added: “Car in central reservation – you can pass through the services”. The wreckage had been cleared by 9.25am.
