Lorry driver rushed to hospital after crash on slip road

A lorry driver has been rushed to hospital this morning following a horror crash on a motorway slip road. Emergency services were called to the M6 exit sliproad at junction 18 on the M6 in Cheshire at around 10:30am on Wednesday (October 2) following a ‘one vehicle collision’. The slip road remains closed as accident investigation work is carried out.

The driver has been taken to hospital after being treated at the scene, police said. The exact nature of their condition is not known. In a statement Cheshire Police said: “At 10.29am this morning (Wednesday 2 October) police were called to a one vehicle collision involving a lorry on the M6 exit slip road at junction 18.

“The slip road is currently closed while emergency services work at the scene.

The driver was treated and the scene and taken to hospital.”
