Lorry crash closes M11 in both directions near Cambridge

A lorry has crashed through the central reservation on the M11 prompting the closure of the motorway in both directions. The lorry was travelling north when it crossed through the central reservation on the southbound carriageway near junction 11 for the A10, according to National Highways.

A Cambridgeshire Constabulary spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.30am today (11 October) with reports of a collision between a lorry and a van on the M11 southbound near junction 11. “Police are at the scene, details of injuries are unclear but not thought to be serious.”

The motorway has been closed in both directions within junction 11 and delays are building in the area.
