A crash involving a lorry, van and two cars has resulted in three lanes being closed on the M6 near Crewe. Motorists are facing delays on the northbound carriageway this evening due to the collision. Traffic monitoring system Inrix states: “Three lanes closed due to accident.

A lorry, van and 2 cars involved on M6 Northbound from J16 A500 (Stoke-On-Trent / Crewe) to J17 A534 Old Mill Road ( Sandbach / Crewe).

“Only lane four (of four) is currently open. “There are currently delays of 40 minutes against expected traffic”
