Live: M5 traffic stopped after crash near Bristol

All traffic has been stopped on the M5 following a crash near Bristol this evening (Thursday, October 3). According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the collision took place on the southbound carriageway. Vehicles are now stationary between junction 18 and junction 19 for Portishead.

The crash was first reported at around 7.20pm and traffic is now building on the motorway. Inrix says: "All traffic being temporarily held due to accident on M5 Southbound from J18 M49 to J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead)."
