Live: M4 traffic halted as vehicle bursts into flames

A vehicle has burst into flames on the M4 between Bristol[1] and Bath and traffic has been halted in the Bath-bound direction between junctions 19 and 18. National Highways traffic maps[2] indicate congestion building in the area between the two cities. Traffic monitor Inrix reports: “One lane closed due to vehicle fire on M4 eastbound from J19 M32 (Bristol) to J18 A46 (Bath / Tormarton).”
