Delays on motorway after five-vehicle crash

Motorists are facing delays on the M5 near Bristol after a five-vehicle crash on the southbound carriageway.

Avon and Somerset Police said traffic units were called out at 07:23 BST to the crash between junctions 16 and 17.

The carriageway was temporarily closed.

All lanes have reopened, but traffic monitoring website Inrix is reporting queuing traffic from junction 16 Gloucester Road to junction 17 Aztec West, with congestion to just past the Almondsbury Interchange.

Police said no injuries were reported.
