Woman rescued after crash between car and lorry in Arbroath

A woman has been rescued following a crash between a car and a lorry in Arbroath. Police, ambulance and the fire service were called to Dundee Road next to Westway Retail Park at around 6pm on Sunday. Footage submitted to The Courier shows vehicles on the roundabout next to the retail park, with a lorry situated in the middle of the road.

The woman was passed onto the Scottish Ambulance Service. A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service[1] said: “We attended a crash on Dundee Road. “The crash involved one car and one lorry.

“Three appliances attended, two from Arbroath and one from Carnoustie. “A heavy rescue from Dundee also attended, but it was stood down. “We helped rescue one female from the car and she was passed over to the ambulance service.

“We received a call at 5.53pm and left the scene at 7.05pm.

Police Scotland[2] and the Scottish Ambulance Service were approached for comment.
