Equipmake doubles heavy duty electric motor’s power
Vehicle electrification specialist Equipmake[1] is adding a new heavy duty electric motor with double the continuous power of its
predecessor to its range.
The company’s next-gen HTM-3500 e-motor has the same peak figures of 3500Nm and 400kW as before, but crucially the continuous power has been doubled, from 100kW to 200kW at 2500rpm. The motor is direct drive, designed to seamlessly integrate to the propshaft and existing axle without the need for a separate transmission.

Equipmake offers a wide range of proprietary electric motors, alongside in-house designed, developed and manufactured ASIL-D certified inverters, technology aimed at the bus, coach, truck and off-highway vehicle sector.
