Cops close road due to ‘serious’ crash between van and lorry
A ROAD has been closed down after a crash between a van and a lorry. Emergency crews were scrambled to Den Walk in Methil, Fife,[1] this morning amid the shocking crash.

It is understood a van smashed into a lorry during the harrowing crash. Pictures from the scene show the wreckage of the vehicle after it collided with the truck.
The back of the HGV was smashed through the passenger side of the van’s windscreen. The front and top of the vehicle have been left a crumpled wreck after the crash.

A motor with dents on its passenger side was also spotted at the scene. Police[2], fire[3] and ambulance[4] crews quickly descended on the scene.
The road was sealed off as emergency vehicles flooded the street. A Police Scotland[5] spokesperson said: “Den Walk in Methil is closed between Kirkland Road and Selkirk Street due to a serious road crash. “We were called to the collision[6] involving a lorry and a van around 9.15am on Saturday, 21 September, 2024.
“Emergency services[7] are in attendance and people are being asked to avoid the area.”
