‘Severe’ delays on M6 motorway after vehicle fire

The AA is reporting delays of more than half an hour this morning (August 5) on the M6 Southbound. It follows an earlier vehicle fire between J19 (Tabley Interchange) and J20 (M56). One lane was closed as a result of this

According to the AA, delays now stand at around 31 minutes and are increasing.

Queues on the southbound carriageway appear to stretch back as far as J22 (Winwick Interchange).
