Emergency services rushed to the scene and closed the road in both directions. One person was found to be injured but their condition is not believed to be life-changing or life-threatening. The driver of the car has been arrested after a positive breath test, which was carried out on the roadside.

The road was closed in both directions for around eight hours, which Avon and Somerset Police say was due to the recovery of the lorry. There was also a closure on nearby Old Frome Road. A spokesperson for the force said: "It came in at about 3:10am.

It's the A37 junction with the A367 at Oakhill and is a two-vehicle collision, with a lorry and a Peugeot car.
