Lane closures remain on the M6 between Leyland and Standish after nearly 12-hours of full closure[9] of the motorway. The M6 was closed around 2.45pm on Friday (30 August) when a campervan, car and beer lorry collided. Seven people were hurt in the collision[10] although police say none are thought to have life-threatening injuries.
One lane remains closed on the M6 in both directions between Junction 27 and Junction 28 while the emergency barrier repairs continue. The crash caused severe damage to the central reservation of the motorway. The repairs are expected to continue throughout Saturday morning according to National Highways North West.
