Live M11 traffic updates today as Cambridgeshire vehicle fire leaves motorway closed

The M11 is closed in Cambridgeshire due to a vehicle fire tonight (Saturday, August 10). The northbound carriageway is shut to traffic due to the fire and spillage. The closure has been ongoing since shortly after 8.30pm.

A diversion is in place. A National Highways spokesperson said: “The M11 in Cambridgeshire is closed northbound between J11 and J12 due to a vehicle fire. Fire are in attendance.

There is also a spillage on the carriageway which is in the process of being cleared.” Inrix, the traffic data company, said: “M11 Northbound closed due to vehicle fire from J11 A10 Cambridge Road (Cambridge South / Harston) to J12 A603 Barton Road (Cambridge).” CambridgeshireLive will bring you further updates as they become available.
