Live A428 traffic updates today as crash in Cambridgeshire crash

The A428 is closed to traffic following a ‘serious’ crash in Cambridgeshire today (Monday, August 12). The road is shut to traffic in both directions between St Neots and Caxton. The closure was first reported at around 5.30pm.

Traffic diversions are in place. A National Highways spokesperson said: “The A428 in Cambridgeshire is closed in both directions between the A1198 (St Neots) and the B1428 (Caxton) due to a multi-vehicle collision. All emergency services including Cambridgeshire Police are in attendance with National highways contractors en route to assist with strategic closures.

Inrix, the traffic data company, said: “A428 Cambridge Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to accident, a lorry, a van and a camper van involved from A1198 ( Caxton Gibbet roundabout, Caxton Gibbet ) to B1428 (St Neots ).”
