Freeport police investigate man found dead inside home

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) - Just before 6 p.m.

August 17, Freeport police responded to the 1400 block of Mark Drive in Freeport for someone found dead inside a residence.

Officers say they found a 23-year-old man dead in a bedroom with apparent gunshot wounds.

The man's identity has not been released.

Police are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call the Freeport Police Department at 815-235-8222.
