Freeport man arrested after bizarre 911 call

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A Freeport man remains in custody following a strange 911 call late Saturday night, which led to his arrest on multiple charges.

According to the Walton County Sheriff's Office (WCSO), 40-year-old Christopher Falkner made the emergency call, claiming he believed someone was inside his home with a knife. When deputies arrived at Falkner's residence, they found him emerging from his garage while holding a knife. Falkner reportedly dropped the weapon when deputies identified themselves.

A subsequent search of the property revealed multiple shotgun blasts, with empty casings scattered on the floor.

The Criminal Investigations Bureau was called to the scene to examine the situation further.

Investigators discovered three firearms, ammunition, oxycodone, and cocaine during their search of the home. It was determined that no intruders had entered the property. The incident was reportedly the result of Falkner allegedly ingesting a synthetic drug known as "spice," which led to hallucinations.

Falkner, who is currently on bond for previous weapons possession charges, faces several new charges related to drugs and firearms.

He is being held in the Walton County Jail on a £12,500 bond.
