Broken traffic lights in Taunton town centre
Traffic lights for cars and pedestrians on North Street, near Castle Bow, “are only working intermittently”. These photos, taken early this afternoon, show the broken traffic lights at the pedestrian crossing near the Taunton Market House roundabout. Vehicles have been seen stopping to let pedestrians cross the road, despite the lights being out of action.

Somerset Council looks after 200 sets of traffic lights. Problems can be reported on the council’s website. To report issues outside of normal working hours – Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm – you can phone 0300 123 2224.
