Biker dies in crash with lorry on route to busy beach
A motorcyclist has died following a crash with a lorry on a road leading to a popular beach. Jury’s Gap Road, between Lydd and Camber Sands, was closed for hours[1] after emergency services were called out yesterday afternoon.

Police have confirmed a man from Hythe died at the scene. Officers are investigating the fatal collision which happened at about 12.20pm on Monday.
“Tragically a 47-year-old man from Hythe was pronounced deceased at the scene,” a Sussex Police spokesman said. “Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this time. “Officers are investigating the collision, and have appealed for witnesses or anyone with relevant information such as CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.”
There were traffic delays in the area as accident investigation work took place.
The road reopened at 5am today.
