A17 closure caused by crash between car and lorry

The A17 was closed yesterday evening following a crash between a car and a HGV. Police were called to the main road at Terrington St Clement at 5.02pm on Monday, with fire crews and paramedics also sent to the scene. The A17 was closed[1] between Clenchwarton and Walpole Cross Keys, and did not reopen until 8pm.

Traffic in and out of Lincolnshire[2] at Sutton Bridge was affected, while access from the Pullover roundabout at Lynn was limited.

Two people were taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further assessment following the crash.

Drivers reported that they were experiencing significant delays in the hours after the incident.
