Tragedy as teenager killed in horror lorry crash on country road

A teenager has died after his motorbike crashed with a lorry. The accident was on the A51 - a main road through countryside in Cheshire. The incident happened at 8.08pm on Sunday July 14th on London Road, Bridgemere, Nantwich.

The collision involved a HGV and a motorcycle. In a statement Cheshire Police said: "Sadly, the rider of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the HGV, a 35-year-old man, was uninjured." Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information to get in touch with them. Inspector Anton Sullivan said: "As part of our ongoing enquiries, we would like to speak to any witnesses who may have seen what happened in the lead up to the collision, or the incident itself.

We are asking people to please check their dashcam or CCTV footage for anything which may aid our investigation."
