The7stars lifts Thinkbox TV Planning Awards Grand Prix

The7stars has won the Grand Prix at the 2024 Thinkbox TV Planning Awards, run in partnership with Campaign. The agency scooped the top prize for its work with People’s Postcode Lottery at an afternoon ceremony yesterday (July 10), at London’s ONE Marylebone, hosted by comedian, writer and actress Lou Sanders. The campaign also won the “Best TV ad planning” category.

Wavemaker was a big winner at the annual awards, picking up the TV Planning Agency of the Year prize, along with gongs for “Best TV newcomer” for Back Market and, together with IMA-HOME, for “Best use of sponsorship” with Jet2holidays. Last year’s Grand Prix winner MG OMD won “Best standout idea” this year – a new prize for 2024 – for its work with Age UK. Young TV Planner of the Year is Sophie Gildert of EssenceMediacom UK, following in the footsteps of last year’s winner, Lydia Saxby of Wavemaker.

Saxby was one of this year’s 16-strong judging panel[1], which also included marketers from Boots and Britvic and Campaign media editor Beau Jackson, alongside other industry experts. Find more details – and videos – of the award winners and nominations here[2].
