Police have appealed for information as victim fights for life
Pacemaker Press 28-07-2024: A section of the M1 motorway has been closed in both directions following a serious collision.
The crash was reported shortly before 07:00 BST on Sunday. Belfast-bound traffic is being diverted at junction six, Saintfield Road.

A man in his 60s is in critical condition after a collision involving a lorry on the M1 motorway between Belfast and Lisburn.
The incident was reported to the emergency services shortly before 7am on Sunday morning.
Police are appealing for information.
“At around 6.50am, it was reported that a collision had occurred between a pedestrian and a lorry travelling on the motorway west-bound,” said a spokesperson.
“The road, closed for seven hours, has now fully reopened.
“The injured man, aged in his 60s, is in a critical condition in hospital.
“An investigation is underway and anyone who witnessed the collision or who has dash-cam footage is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 432 28/07/24.”
