M6 and M53 motorway closures starting July 15
Motorists in Merseyside have been warned to expect delays and disruption as a number of motorways will be partially closed this week. Sections of the M6 and M53 will be partially closed this week for essential roadworks and National Highways has warned drivers to “expect disruption”. The motorways are closed so National Highways[1] can continue to repair the region’s roads.
There will be diversions in place and drivers are urged to find alternative routes if they plan to use these sections of the motorway. Here are the motorway closures you can expect in Merseyside[2] this week. This list is subject to changes from National Highways.
