M1 live traffic updates as road blocked after double lorry crash

A crash between two lorries and a car is reportedly causing 40 minute delays in South Yorkshire this morning. Drivers heading northbound on the M1 will be hit by delays from Junction 32 at the M18 Interchange. Two lanes are closed while the vehicles are recovered.

Traffic is stacked all the way back past Junction 31, traffic management systems say. The crash happened at around 7am and congestion is piled back up to the motorway junction for Sheffield and Worksop. In a further update following the crash at 7.40am, Inrix confirmed travel time is 40 minutes.

INRIX updated: “Long delays and two lanes closed due to accident, two lorries and a car involved on M1 Northbound from J32 M18 (M18 interchange) to J33 A630 (Catcliffe / Sheffield / Rotherham). Congestion to J31 (Sheffield / Worksop). Travel time is around 40 minutes.
