Live as Sheffield trains face disruption after lorry crashes into bridge
Train services from Sheffield are facing cancellations and delays[1] as we enter rush hour. National Rail has warned of delays and cancellations on services from Sheffield[2] to both Nottingham and Derby, after a lorry collided with a railway bridge near Chesterfield. National Rail has said the disruption is expected to last until 6.30pm this evening (Monday, July 1).
Services will be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised during this time. Our travel partner, Inrix, reports: “Cancellations on East Midlands Railway, Northern and CrossCountry between Chesterfield and Sheffield due to earlier bridge being hit by a road vehicle.” This is a breaking news story.
