HGV driver taken to hospital after A12 crash
A driver has been taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash near Saxmundham. Firefighters from Lowestoft, Saxmundham and Framlingham, alongside police officers, were alerted to the A12, outside the town, by the East of England Ambulance Service at 11.45am. When they arrived, they found a lorry had come off the road.
A spokesman for Suffolk Police said one lane was shut.
It is unknown how serious the driver's injuries were.
The road reopened at about 2pm.
