Driver hospitalised following crash involving three HGVs in Warrington
A DRIVER has been hospitalised following a three-lorry crash on the M62 in Warrington. Emergency services were called to the scene on the westbound carriageway between junction 11, Birchwood, and junction 10, Croft, at around 11.10am yesterday, Monday. The incident involved three HGVs in lane one and firefighters had to free a trapped casualty from one of the lorries.
One driver was taken to Warrington Hospital following the crash. Fortunately, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Two lanes were closed as a result of the incident and there was heavy traffic in and around the area.
The scene was cleared by 1.20pm
