A white VM Crafter van, orange Volvo lorry and white Peugeot Boxer van crashed just prior to junction 1a. Officers, firefighters and paramedics attended and a woman, who was a passenger in the VW, was treated for serious injuries.[2]

She was taken to a London hospital for further medical attention. Road policing officers are investigating the incident and are appealing to anyone who was travelling in either direction and saw what happened, or has relevant dashcam footage, to come forward. Anyone with information should call the appeal line on 01474 366149, quoting reference 24-0941.

Drivers with dashcam that may assist can upload the footage using this link.[3]
