A350 closed as lorry crashes into house in Wiltshire town
The A350 has been closed after a lorry crashed into a house in a Wiltshire town. Emergency services were called Fore Street, Westbury, at around 7pm today (Monday). According to a local, there are numerous police vehicles in attendance alongside several fire crews and a Wiltshire Air Ambulance rapid response car.
They claim the HGV’s trailer has “swung onto the pedestrian path and struck the front of a house”. A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said nobody is believed to have been injured. In a statement, they wrote: “Drivers are advised that the A350 running through Westbury is currently closed due to a road traffic collision involving a lorry which has become stuck.
“There are no reported injuries – although it is likely that the closures will be in place for a number of hours to allow the scene to be made safe and for the vehicle to be recovered. “Please seek alternative routes and expect delays in the area. Thank you for your patience.”
