Wantage paramedic to ride length of UK for cancer charity

Matt Luker will be joined by 40 other riders as they travel 1,000 miles from Land’s End to John O’Groats, without a stop, for the Longest Day Challenge on June 20 – the longest day of the year. Mr Luker, who is based at Abingdon[1] Hospital, lost his mum, Gaye Reynolds, to cancer when she was 67.

As a result, he is aiming to raise funds and awareness for Cancer Research UK, and has already raised GBP1,745.

As part of the challenge, the riders are not allowed to use any motorways and their bikes cannot cost more than GBP600.
