Stretch of A14 reopens after lorry crashes into central reservation

A stretch of the A14 has reopened after a lorry crashed into the central reservation. Police were alerted to the incident on the eastbound carriageway in the Tostock area, between junctions 46 and 47, at about 2.50pm today. A police spokesperson said the driver was not injured but a lot of debris was in the road.

There is now minimal congestion remaining in the area.

Suffolk Police had posted on X at 3.32pm saying the carriageway was closed and motorists were advised to find alternative routes.

National Highways posted on X at 4.07pm saying the carriageway was closed between junctions 47 and 49 following the incident.

One lane had reopened by 5.17pm.
