Pedestrian, 60, struck by lorry in horror Glasgow crash as woman rushed to hospital
A pedestrian is in hospital after she was struck by a lorry in Glasgow[1] this morning, June 14. Police[2] and ambulance crew rushed to the scene on Maryhill Road near the Tesco at the junction with Garrioch Road at around 10.25am after reports of a crash between a lorry and a pedestrian. A 60-year-old woman was then tkaen to hospital for treatment.
Her current condition is unknown.
Officers remained at the scene while investigations were carried out with Police Scotland confirming enquiries are currently ongoing. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.25am on Friday, 14 June, 2024 we were called to a report of a collision involving a lorry and a pedestrian on Maryhill Road, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and the pedestrian, a 60-year-old woman was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing.” A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 10.22am to attend an incident at Maryhill Road, Glasgow.
We dispatched two ambulances to the scene.”
