M6 and M53 motorway closures starting June 24

The M6 and M53 will be partially closed this week. The motorways, which run through Merseyside [1], will see closures this week as National Highways continue to repair the region’s roads. These include the M6 and M53, according to the National Highways journey planning tool.

Here are the motorway closures you can expect in Merseyside [2] this week. This list is subject to changes from National Highways.

Monday, June 24

The M6 northbound between junctions J22 and J23 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 27. The M6 southbound between junctions J26 and J23 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 27. The M53 southbound between junctions J9 and J12 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 29.

The M53 northbound between junctions J12 and J9 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 25. Tuesday, June 25 The M6 northbound between junctions J22 and J23 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 27.

The M6 southbound between junctions J26 and J23 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 27. The M53 southbound between junctions J9 and J12 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 29. The M53 northbound between junctions J12 and J9 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 25.

Wednesday, June 26 The M6 northbound between junctions J22 and J23 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 27. The M6 southbound between junctions J26 and J23 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 27.

The M53 southbound between junctions J9 and J12 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 29. Thursday, June 27 The M6 northbound between junctions J22 and J23 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 27.

The M53 southbound between junctions J9 and J12 will be closed from 9pm to 6am from June 24 to June 29.
