PENHILL: Huseyin Karabulut, of Trowbridge Close, has been sentenced for driving offences. The 50-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle along Lichfield Road in Cannock, Staffordshire while disqualified, without due care and attention, and without insurance on May 9, 2024. He received an 18-month driving ban and a community order that requires him to carry out 250 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months, participate in up to five rehabilitation activity days, and pay GBP85 in court costs.
KINGSHILL: Aliston Dias, of William Street, has been sentenced for a driving offence. The 26-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Astra along Swindon Road on June 1, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 62 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. He received a 17-month driving ban and a GBP350 fine, and must also pay GBP85 in court costs plus GBP140 to fund victim services.
SWINDON: Charlie Cole, of Summer Street in Stroud, and Sami Pritchard, of Rosebery Road in Dursley, have been sentenced for possession of Class A drugs. Cole, 22, and Pritchard, 20, each indicated a plea of guilty to having cocaine on them while in Swindon on June 1, 2024. Both defendants must pay a fine of GBP120 each as well as GBP85 in court costs plus GBP45 to fund victim services.
The illegal substance has been forfeited and destroyed. MOTORWAY: Sandel Dinca, of Paynels, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, has been sentenced for a driving offence. The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a HGV along the M4 near Swindon on June 17, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 100 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit.
He has been banned from driving for 28 months, fined GBP900, given a community order that requires him to carry out up to 15 rehabilitation activity days, and pay GBP85 in court costs plus GBP114 to fund victim services. ASHTON KEYNES: Gary Adams, of Thames View, has been sentenced for a driving offence. The 52-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a Mitsubishi Shogun along Waterhay in Leigh on January 1, 2024, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his blood, namely 157 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, exceeded the prescribed limit.
He received a 15-month driving ban and a fine of GBP1,000, and must also pay GBP85 in court costs plus GBP400 to fund victim services. PENHILL: Patrick Cahill, of Penhill Drive, has been sentenced for criminal damage. The 41-year-old pleaded guilty to causing GBP100 worth of damage to one of The Tap and Barrel’s windows in Swindon on March 30, 2024.
He must pay GBP100 in compensation as well as a fine of GBP200 plus GBP85 in court costs. PINEHURST: Robert Gillespie, of Clive Parade, has been sentenced for thefts from a shop. The 53-year-old indicated pleas of guilty to stealing earphones worth GBP925 from B&M on September 30, 2023, and attempted to steal meat to the value of GBP24.50 belonging to Iceland on June 3, 2024.
He must pay fines totalling GBP50.
There was no order to pay court costs.
