Chalk Farm Road shut as car and lorry damaged in crash

Chalk Farm Road was shut northbound between Hawley Crescent to Camden Lock Place today (June 6) from 1.55am after reports of a crash. The Metropolitan Police said this involved a lorry and a car. One woman was taken to hospital for treatment, but her injuries are not thought to be life threatening, and a male was also treated at the scene.

After seven hours, the road still remains closed and bus routes are being diverted including the 1, 24, 27 and 31. The lorry itself is also damaged at the front from impact to a lamppost.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue, the Metropolitan Police said.
