Vehicle fire closes lane on M4 westbound near Newbury between junctions 12 and 13 and causes delays of up to 20 minutes

A vehicle fire has closed a lane and caused severe delays on the M4 near Newbury.

One westbound lane is closed on the motorway between junction 12 at Theale and Reading west and junction 13 at Chieveley.

There are currently delays of 20 minutes against expected traffic.

The event is expected to clear between 1.30pm and 1.45pm and normal traffic conditions are expected to returns between 2.15pm and 2.30pm.
