Two men were left ‘seriously hurt’ after a car and lorry crash on the M6[1] near Coventry.
999 calls were made to report the collision on the southbound carriageway of the M6 between junctions 2 and 1 in the early hours of this morning (May 13). West Midlands Ambulance Service (WMAS) confirmed to CoventryLive that it sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire[2] and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene. They were dispatched at just before 12.30am.
They were helped by an ambulance from East Midlands Ambulance Service which passed by the scene of the accident at the time. “A passing ambulance crew from East Midlands Ambulance Service also stopped to offer assistance,” a WMAS spokesperson said. “We treated one patient, a man from the car, for potentially serious injuries before he was taken to University Hospital Coventry[4] and Warwickshire. The EMAS crew also transported a patient to hospital.”
