M6 live as motorway blocked after lorry crash

A crash is causing long delays on the M6 southbound this evening. Travel site Inrix is reporting that the M6 southbound is currently blocked at Junction 4 for the M42 at Coleshill due to a crash involving a lorry and a car. Congestion is currently affecting the road up to Junction 4A for the M42 interchange.

The crash is believed to have happened just after 5.30pm. The M6 southbound entry slip road is closed due to the accident at Junction 4. This is the entry slip road from the A446 and it has been closed to assist with the accident on the motorway itself at Junction 4, which is currently closed.

It is not known if anyone has been injured in the collision but long delays are being reported.
