The M6 at Junction 31 for Preston is seeing long delays due to a crash. Advertisement [9] Three lanes are shut on the northbound motorway with traffic already backed up to Junction 29.

It's also causing slow traffic on the M6 southbound from Junction 31 back to Junction 32. Preston Police confirmed two vehicles were involved - and no one has been hurt in the crash, which took place around 4.12pm. National Highways North West are reporting there are delays expected until at least 5.45pm on Thursday (2 May).

The M61 northbound - where it meets the M6 - is also seeing major congestion due to the crash.
