East Lancashire Road closed after motorbike and bin lorry crash

Part of the East Lancashire Road in Merseyside is closed after a crash involving a motorbike and bin lorry.

The crash happened just after 06:30 BST on the eastbound carriageway between Moorgate Road and the slip road for the M57 in Kirkby.

Emergency services are at the scene and both the east and westbound carriageway of the East Lancashire Road are currently closed.

Merseyside Police asked motorists to avoid the area.
