A1 crash between lorry and car caused road closure near Grantham

Motorists faced disruption on a major Lincolnshire road following a crash between a lorry and a car. The incident took place on the A1 northbound near Grantham[1] and was causing delays in the area. The road was closed northbound between the A606 at Stamford and the A607 at Grantham.

Traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reported that vehicles were queuing and there was congestion to the Colsterworth turn off. The road has since been reopened. It is not yet clear if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.
