Teenage girl dies in A14 crash with lorry as police appeal for information
A teenage girl has died after a crash on the A14[1] at Bury St Edmunds on Monday (April 15). The incident happened on the westbound carriageway between junctions 44 and 43 at around 1.30am. A 16-year-old girl was involved in the crash with a lorry and died at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions until 6.40am when the eastbound side reopened. The westbound carriageway was reopened at 11.40am. Suffolk[2] Police attended the scene to carry out investigation works. A Suffolk Police spokesperson said: “Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision and asking any motorists driving in the area at the time of the incident with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle, to review the footage for any material that may be of assistance.
