Police put rolling blocks in place to stop a HGV that was causing problems on the M6. Advertisement [8] Officers from Lancashire Constabulary reported the incident at around 11.40pm last night (April 7).

The lorry was stopped safely near Preston with the driver eventually revealed to be nearly three times the drink drive limit, police said. A spokesperson for police said: "Stopping a 44 ton HGV can be difficult on the motorway. Trying to stop one on the M6 near Preston with a driver nearly three times the drink drive limit is a challenge.
