The incident happened on the M8 at Bathgate this afternoon, April 10. -Credit:Traffic Scotland Delays are expected after a crash on a major Scots motorway[1] this afternoon. Traffic Scotland[2] announced the crash on the M8 near Bathgate in West Lothian at 3:48pm on Wednesday, April 10.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, with traffic rapidly building on the road. A Traffic Scotland spokesperson said: “The Westbound carriageway is restricted due to a collision. Traffic is building rapidly on approach to the incident.
Delays are now approx.
22 mins, and likely to build.” An image from the scene shows Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service at the scene. It is unknown at this stage how many vehicles are involved and whether there are any casualties.
