M40 driver caught speeding with no insurance or licence
Thames Valley Police's Roads Policing Team spotted the car speeding along "in a bit of a hurry" on the M40 near Beaconsfield on Friday, April 19. Its driver reportedly averaged 100mph along the motorway near the Oxfordshire border for nearly half a mile. Officers flagged down the vehicle and carried out a standard documents check.
The check revealed that the motorist only had a provisional driving licence and no car insurance.
They now "face a day in court" for their motoring offences.
A spokesperson for the police force warned other motorists that speeding and driving without the proper documentation is "not worth the risk".
