M1 junction 30 crash: Queues heading southbound as lanes closed after reports of collision

Reports of a crash on the M1[1] has led to big queues near junction 30. The collision is reported to have taken place heading southbound between junction 31 and 30 for Sheffield on Wednesday evening, April 3. An eyewitness has told Nottinghamshire Live that two of four lanes were closed.

Motorway traffic cameras also show heavy traffic in the area, which motorists should avoid if possible while crews work at the scene. Traffic website Inrix states: “One lane closed and queueing traffic due to recovery work and accident on M1 Southbound before J30 A616 (Worksop / Sheffield South). Congestion to J32 (M18 Interchange).
