Lorry and car involved in crash on A941 near Craigellachie

A crash involving a lorry and a car has closed the A95 road near Craigellachie. The collision occurred just after 4pm on Tuesday, April 23, on the A941[1] Craigellachie to Elgin road near Telford Bridge. Images at the scene show a HGV lorry and a black car were involved in the crash.

A fire[2] spokesperson confirmed that a person had to be extracted from the car by fire crews who used specialist cutting equipment.

Five fire appliances and a heavy rescue vehicle from Inverness were dispatched to the scene at around 4.30pm. All fire vehicles have since left the scene.

Two ambulances were also on scene as well as several police cars. A police spokesperson said: “The A941 near Craigellachie is closed due to a road crash. Emergency services are at the scene.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.”

The A95 is currently closed in both directions due to the crash.
